The Hotel du Globe, located on the Cours Sextius since 1970, has spread its wings and become Escaletto. Ideally located a stone's throw from the historic centre and the thermal baths, the establishment welcomes you in a brand new colourful, warm and resolutely trendy atmosphere.Don't miss the panoramic terrace on the 4th floor with its breathtaking view of the city's rooftops.
The Hotel du Globe Aix en Provence has been offering 44 comfortable rooms and quality services since 1970. The hotel has already undergone renovations but this time it is being transformed into a brand new concept. The Hotel du Globe Aix en Provence becomes the Escaletto Hotel, a name that corresponds to a "small ladder" or a "staircase going up to the watchtower" in Provencal. Here, the Escaletto takes us to its terrace, perched on the 4th floor of the hotel, over the roofs of Aix en Provence. The new logo, a bird perched on the first "T" of Escaletto also evokes this idea of height. The friendly spirit of the former Hôtel du Globe Aix en Provence lives on at Escaletto, particularly with the tapas bar.
The interiors are completely revisited to offer a more trendy, soft and friendly atmosphere. The purer style is warmed up with colourful touches and natural materials such as wood or rattan, and the wallpapers take on tropical accents.
The location remains the same: a prime spot on the Cours Sextius, close to the historic centre. Visitors who particularly appreciated the location of the Hotel du Globe Aix en Provence and its private garage (on reservation) will find these advantages at Escaletto.
You can find yourself in the lively atmosphere of old Aix in just a few steps, sitting by a fountain or sitting in one of the many restaurants and cafés.The Escaletto hotel invites you to savour unique moments, for a business stay, a holiday with the scent of the South or just for an afterwork on the terrace. Just a stone's throw from the Rotonde, the Cours Mirabeau, the old town and the Mazarin district, the former Hôtel du Globe Aix en Provence remains a privileged stopover.
